Monday the 25th of November 2024 our The Restaurant That Makes Mistakes won an International Emmy Award in the Non-Scripted Entertainment category.
This social experiment sees a group of people all living with early-onset dementia tasked with helping run a restaurant led by successful chef Seppe Nobels and his sous-chef Romina. With dementia expert Anouck de Bruijn on hand to advise, the group takes on all the roles of a busy restaurant, including cooking, taking orders, serving and making drinks. Our formidable host Dieter Coppens is not only in charge of managing the floor of the restaurant, he is also the mental and emotional support of our eight fantastic workers. In the second season, for which the Emmy was awarded, these eight workers were Noëlla, Suz, Ingrid, Marleen, Marc, Stefaan, Maurice and Eddy. They showed Belgium, and now the entire world, that there ìs life after the diagnosis.
